“Health is not merely the absence of disease; it is the balance of mind, body and soul” – Hippocrates

What is exercise physiology?

Exercise physiologists work by providing the delivery of exercise, lifestyle, and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic disease and injury.

Exercise physiologists’ rehabilitation aims to optimise patient function and well-being, to help integrate the patient back into their chosen lifestyle activities whether at home, work or leisure. Rehabilitation focuses on changes to functional disability and lifestyle restrictions based on the patient’s own goals for functional improvement.

It is important for rehabilitation to start as soon as possible to aid in a quick recovery. The programs that combine many different components are likely to be most effective, which is why the exercise physiologist and other health professionals at Infinitive Health will work as a team to plan and manage treatment for your specific condition.

Exercise physiology services are now available in both Kwinana and Cannington.

Through multiple modalities, physical rehabilitation is used as an adjunctive procedure to get the body to heal faster. These modalities help to reduce inflammation, muscle spasm and pain, as well as speed up the healing process and promote healthy tissue production. Since everybody heals differently, and no two people are the same, we offer an individually tailored physical rehabilitation.

  • Sports Injuries
  • Motor Vehicle Injuries
  • Post-Surgical Rehab
  • Repetitive / Overuse injuries
  • General Weakness
  • Poor Posture
  • Shoulder & Arm Complaints
  • Hip & Knee Pain
  • Elbow, Wrist and Hand Issues
  • Ankle & Feet Problems
